What "Asia eSIM" usually means
Search for an Asia eSIM and you will find two different things sold under the same phrase:
- A regional plan that lists several countries in one product, with one price and one installation.
- A country plan for a single destination, which is what yuzu sells in each of its four stores.
Both are travel eSIMs: a digital SIM profile you install on a compatible phone before you fly, so you land with data already working instead of queueing for a physical SIM.
The difference that matters is coverage. A regional plan only works in the countries its product record names. A country plan only works in that country. Neither is "Asia" in general, and no plan should be assumed to cover a country it does not list.

What to check before you buy any multi-country plan
- The country list. Read the product record, not the marketing headline. If a country on your route is not named, the plan does not cover it.
- The networks. Network and activation details come from each plan's product record. Check which networks are listed for each country you will visit.
- The data allowance and validity. A regional plan's allowance is usually shared across all covered countries, and its validity window runs from activation, not from purchase.
- Activation timing. Install before you travel if you like, but check when the plan starts counting, so you do not burn days at home.

If you are only going to one country
Most searches for an Asia eSIM come from travellers going to exactly one place. In that case the simpler answer is the country store:
- Japan: buy in the Japan eSIM store.
- South Korea: buy in the South Korea eSIM store.
- China: buy in the China eSIM store.
- Hong Kong: buy in the Hong Kong eSIM store.
A country plan keeps the coverage question small: one country, one product record, one set of networks to check.
If your trip crosses borders
Build a short list before you decide:
- Which yuzu destinations are on the route, and in what order?
- How many days in each?
- Does one regional product list every one of those destinations?
- What is the total for country plans covering the same days?
If a regional plan lists every country on your route, it saves you one installation. If it does not, country plans are the only option that actually works where you are going.
Practical notes for multi-country travel

Does one Asia eSIM work in Japan, Korea and China at the same time?
Only if a single plan's product record lists all three countries. Regional plans cover the countries they name and nothing else, so check the country list on the plan before you buy. If no single plan covers your whole route, buy a country plan for each destination.
Is a regional Asia eSIM cheaper than buying separate country plans?
It depends on your route and how many days you spend in each country. Add up the country plans for your actual days in each destination and compare that total against the regional product. For a long stay in one country with a short side trip, separate country plans often work out better.
