How to install your eSIM on Android

You install your eSIM in your phone’s own settings. No app is needed. Menu names differ between Android brands and versions, so these are the steps Google and Samsung publish for their own phones.

Before you start

• Connect to Wi-Fi or use mobile data. Samsung asks for Wi-Fi or a mobile data connection before you add an eSIM.
• Open your order page on another screen, such as a laptop or a tablet, so your phone can scan the QR code.
• Keep your QR code private. Anyone who has it could install your eSIM.

Google Pixel

Google notes that a Pixel can activate an eSIM with a QR code.

1. Open Settings > Network & internet > SIMs.
2. Tap Add SIM, then Set up an eSIM.
3. Follow the steps on screen and scan the QR code on your order page.

If you cannot scan the code, contact us with your order number and we will help you install it.

Samsung Galaxy

1. Open Settings > Connections > SIM manager.
2. Tap Add eSIM, then Scan QR code, and scan the code on your order page.
3. Samsung says to restart the phone to apply the eSIM.

To type the details instead: tap Add eSIM > Scan QR code > Enter activation code, then enter the details from your setup guide exactly as shown.

When you arrive

Choose your eSIM for mobile data:

• Pixel: Settings > Network & internet > SIMs, then under “Your primary SIMs” tap Mobile data and choose the eSIM.
• Samsung Galaxy: Settings > Connections > SIM manager, then use Primary SIM to choose the eSIM for data.

If your setup guide says to turn on data roaming for the eSIM:

• Pixel: Settings > Network & internet > SIMs, tap the eSIM and turn on Roaming.
• Samsung Galaxy: Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Data roaming.

Other makers use their own menu names, and their support pages explain how to add an eSIM. If you get stuck, contact us with your phone model.

If it does not install

Restart the phone and try again. If it says the code is no longer valid, do not keep retrying. Contact us with your order number and a screenshot of the error, but please do not send your QR code.
