Can I use the same eSIM in several places?

Each plan covers the destination named on it: a Japan plan is for Japan, and a South Korea plan is for South Korea. The plan page shows the destination before you pay.

A trip to more than one destination

Buy one plan for each destination on your trip. For a week in Tokyo followed by a few days in Seoul, for example, you would buy a Japan plan and a South Korea plan. Mainland China and Hong Kong are separate destinations on YuzuSIM, each with its own plans.

Your phone can hold them all

You do not need to remove one eSIM to add the next. Apple says an iPhone can manage eight or more eSIMs, and Google says a Pixel can hold several eSIM profiles and switch between lines while you travel. What you choose is which line carries your data, because only one line does at a time.

Switching lines when you arrive somewhere new

1. Turn on the line for the place you have arrived in. On iPhone: Settings > Cellular, tap the line, then tap Turn On This Line. On Pixel: Settings > Network & internet > SIMs, tap the eSIM and turn on Use SIM. On Samsung Galaxy: Settings > Connections > SIM manager, then use the switch next to the eSIM.
2. Choose it for mobile data. On iPhone: Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data. On Pixel: Settings > Network & internet > SIMs, then Mobile data under “Your primary SIMs”. On Samsung Galaxy: Primary SIM in SIM manager.
3. Turn off the line for the place you left. Apple suggests turning off travel eSIM lines you no longer use.

Install each eSIM at the right time

Each plan has its own activation rule, shown on its plan page and in its setup guide. If a plan starts on installation, install it when its own guide says, even if you install another plan earlier. See when to install your eSIM.

Keep each eSIM until you are done with it
