What happens if I delete my eSIM?

Usually, a deleted eSIM cannot be installed again from the same QR code. Apple’s guidance is that if you erase an eSIM, you need to get a new one from the carrier.

Keep it until your trip is over

Leave your eSIM installed until you have finished with it, even on days you are not using it. If it is not connecting, start with the checks in my eSIM is installed but not connecting.

Turn the line off instead

If you want the eSIM out of the way, switch the line off. It stays on your phone, and you can switch it back on at any time.

• iPhone: Settings > Cellular, tap the line, then switch off Turn On This Line.
• Google Pixel: Settings > Network & internet > SIMs, tap the eSIM, then turn off Use SIM.
• Samsung Galaxy: Settings > Connections > SIM manager, then use the switch next to the eSIM.

After your trip

Once your trip is over and you no longer need the plan, you can leave the line switched off or delete the eSIM. With iOS 26 or later, Apple says your iPhone may turn off a travel eSIM by itself when you get home, depending on your country or region.

If you deleted it by accident

Contact us at [email protected] or through the contact form. Include your order number, for example YZ-10482, your phone model and roughly when the eSIM was deleted. Whether it can be replaced depends on the network, and we will tell you what is possible.
